With it being a new a new year I figured what better way to start the year than by coming up with New Year Resolutions! But let’s do things a little different; instead of listing things we know most of us will quit by Jan 5th like going to the gym daily, eating only salads and being nice to every living soul (we know that’s impossible!) I decided to list things I want to do more of and things I want to do less of.
(As you can see my main 2 more/less of revolve around food. That’s just the way it is! as Tupac would say)
Why set ourselves up for failure when we can instead do little things to become better versions of ourselves. Do little things that have no long-term deadlines that loom over your head and make you feel like crap when you don’t accomplish them, instead, you get instant gratification from a simple decision that doesn’t take much and makes you feel all nice and warm on the inside.
So don’t make resolutions, set intentions. I intend to do my best at doing these things. Don’t think about the month ahead or about the whole year. The best thing we can do is focus on the next 24 hrs and what we can do to get to where we want to be, who we want to be and what will make us smile at the end of the night. But don’t be too hard on yourself, because guess what? there is always tomorrow.
Now I understand that for some of you these things are already part of your everyday lives already and you are most likely excelling at them already, but we can’t all be like you, ok!
